Paragliding intermediate course APPI 2: Curriculum

This curriculum may vary according to the weather conditions and the specific needs and abilities of each student, however it reflects very well the objectives and methodology of the course:

First class: In this class we will make 2 flights of height. The usual thing is to do it in the mountains of Pachacamac. However, we can also go to Pasamayo. The advantage of flying in Pasamayo is that since it is a giant sand dune it is less intimidating at first than Pachacamac.

Second class: The control of sailing requires many hours of practice to master it, for them we include an additional class in this course. In this way, you will be better prepared to perform your next takeoffs with greater confidence and security.

Third class: The student makes 2 flights of height. The goal is to be more independent and fly without the need to be radio-guided all the time. Preferably, the instructor will let the student make his own landing approach and correct him only if necessary.

Fourth Class: There are also 2 flights, in which the student must demonstrate being able to follow an efficient flight pattern to take advantage of thermal or dynamic wind. You should also be able to do basic descent maneuvers such as ears and make an approach by yourself.

Fifth Class: Last class of the course, in which the student must demonstrate that they can make a flight autonomously: From takeoff, preparing their equipment and making the corresponding revisions. Followed by the flight where you must fly following the air traffic regulations. Finally the landing, in which you will have to make a correct approach and a smooth and controlled landing.
